THE SUPER 13

The SUPER 13 is a group of teenagers who emerged in the CSI strategy like the rainbow appears after rain.  HOW? Unexpectedly! It is a beautiful phenomenon, when  teenagers,  13 year old girls started teaching younger kids the Bible truths, using CSI materials. WHY? Because teenagers love God, they have a burning desire to do something for Him, they have a potential, energy and they are close to kids! Being teachers makes them feel COOL!

The Moldovan experience. Three girls from the Sunday school of village of Chepariya, Moldova, Dasha, Xsiusha and Irina, who are 13,  were very eager to help their Sunday school teacher in class. were her right hand: they distributed materials, gathered the crayons, helped the younger kids to color, sang, read, etc. Stella, their teacher noticed the zeal and the love with which they did any work in Sunday school. Taking into account the CSI strategy and materials, Stories for All Ages, which are very simple in teaching, Stella decided to offer these 13 year old girls the  opportunity to teach some of the lessons in class to their peers. And guess what? THEY’VE DONE GREAT!

Stella was pleasantly surprised to discover that these 13 year old girls could do it!  They followed the teaching method which their teacher used and moreover proved to have talent in teaching.  So their teacher decided to ask the girls to teach some of their neighbor’s kids at home. They screamed of joy! Dasha taught 4 kids, Xsiusha – 2 kids and Irina – 4 kids. Today they are still teaching every week these 3 Bible clubs in 3 different villages.

God has sent to Stella these beautiful teenagers, He has put on their heart the desire to teach their peers or kids younger than them! Let’s learn from them!

What an encouragement it is for such teenagers who can discover their talents in teaching CSI materials. These Bible clubs continue working for a year! In an interview with the SUPER 13 they said:

Question: Why Did you start teaching these lessons, Dasha?

Answer: because I wanted other kids to find out about God and his love for us. I like to teach and I like to have kids in my home for guests. I like to make cakes for them and treat them to what I have cooked. We have much fun together.

Question:  Why do you like to teach the Bible stories for all ages,  Irina ?

Answer: because it is very simple. The teacher just names the pupils and the kids have to do all themselves. They read the text one by one, they read the questions, they answer the questions and retell the story. The teacher has just to follow them not to make mistakes and find the correct answers in the text.

Question:  Do the kids listen to you and learn from you, Xenia?

Answer: Yes, they like that we teach one another and that there is no grown-up teacher with us. I am very proud that they can learn from me.

 Question:  What do kids like about Bible Clubs?

Answer: They like to be together, to study the stories. The stories are very unusual and interesting. They like to think about how they would act in a similar situation as is given in the story. And of course they like to color the picture. We make a contest for the best colored picture. I do as sister Stella teaches us. I show love to them and I give all of them the top mark and they are very proud. Besides, they like to take the picture home to show it to their parents. We have a lot of fun either. We have tea with cookies, we play games and sing the Christian kid’s songs sister Stella teaches us in the Sunday school. We love the Bible Clubs.

Jesus wants to use children for His glory and we can teach them how to do it! You can teach teenagers how to do it in their homes, in backyard Summer camps,  VBS, etc. CSI materials are easy to be used by anybody, older people, youth and even children. They do not require a special Biblical preparation. Through such teaching we can help bring people, children and youth into church, where skilled Pastors and preachers will teach them the truths deeper, where they will understand deeper the plan of Salvation and be saved.
